Dreary and Appalling Zidane's World Cup Performance

I have high honor for Zinedine Zidane, the French football national player, but that was before when he's still playing for Real Madrid together with famous players like David Beckham and Brazil's Ronaldo. After his dreary performance at the 2006 World Cup, I begun to wonder if he's the ever unfailing Zidane who played during the World Cup championship game? Was he under the influence of drugs when he committed that headbutt on that Italian team member?

I thought he is an old-timer already, but what he had shown in that game is nothing but self-indulgent gesture. Even though he was provoked, he should not have retaliated because it would cause the contest for them. As an old-timer of numerous contests and recipient of countless awards and recognition, Zidane should have acted like a true veteran, but he failed. It would have been a sweet success for the French people if France went on to win that indescribable World Cup trophy and honor. After the contest, Zidane would have been wondering what he had done wrong, nonetheless, he cannot do anything about it. Worst, he will end his football career with a dishonorable and dreary performance like that. I query if he will summon that day -- the day France let World Cup slip away from their hands.
