New Attractive Bond Girl Revealed

Feeling animated about the new James Bond flick that will hit the theaters this coming November?

Most of us are perhaps wondering who will portray the role of Bond girl in this coming Agent 007 flick. Therefore, start hitting your keyboard and search about a certain Eva Green, a French actress and composer who was selected to play opposite Daniel Craig in Casino Royale. Eva is the fourth French actress to portray a "Bond girl," and with this first-rate exposure, many are counting on her to become more known. Just this May, she was selected by Maxim magazine number 20 in its annual Hot 100 poll.

Aside from the flick Casino Royale, this French actress who speaks English and French fluently will join Paul Bettany, Adam Godley and Nicole Kidman in the cast of her next flick, His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass. This flick is based on the first book in Philip Pullman's trilogy His Dark Materials which is slated for release in 2007 by New Line Cinema. Earlier, Eva has worked opposite Pirates of Caribbean star, Orlando Bloom in the flick, Kingdom of Heaven. With the way it goes, it looks like Eva is on the precise way to stardom.

Dreary and Appalling Zidane's World Cup Performance

I have high honor for Zinedine Zidane, the French football national player, but that was before when he's still playing for Real Madrid together with famous players like David Beckham and Brazil's Ronaldo. After his dreary performance at the 2006 World Cup, I begun to wonder if he's the ever unfailing Zidane who played during the World Cup championship game? Was he under the influence of drugs when he committed that headbutt on that Italian team member?

I thought he is an old-timer already, but what he had shown in that game is nothing but self-indulgent gesture. Even though he was provoked, he should not have retaliated because it would cause the contest for them. As an old-timer of numerous contests and recipient of countless awards and recognition, Zidane should have acted like a true veteran, but he failed. It would have been a sweet success for the French people if France went on to win that indescribable World Cup trophy and honor. After the contest, Zidane would have been wondering what he had done wrong, nonetheless, he cannot do anything about it. Worst, he will end his football career with a dishonorable and dreary performance like that. I query if he will summon that day -- the day France let World Cup slip away from their hands.

My Extraordinary Stay in a French Boutique Guesthouse

Guesthouse accommodation plays a Valuable role when you plan to go outside the country. This is the rationale why I made sure that the guesthouse that I would be occupying when I toured France is nothing but extraordinary. It was a great blessing that a acquaintance already knew about the famous guesthouse named La Ferme d'Augustin, a boutique hotel with 46 traditional rooms, located in Provence.

My stay became comfy also because my room is well-found with air-conditioning, telephone, television, mini-bar and room safe. Moreover, I was prosperous that my room had whirlpool bath, 'hammam' style shower, dressing room, private terrace with patio or a balcony with sea views and wireless internet connection. Aside from this, the guesthouse is also surrounded by a large park that created a sound environment for its guests. I had fun discovering the ground with pine trees and provincial gardens creating fine harmony with the 13th century entrance gate. There are also nice Wisteria, geraniums, climbing roses and blackberry bushes faking like an umbrella. The guesthouse restaurant also offers fresh local dishes that you would really love to taste. Here, you can be sure that the foods you are eating are homemade, simple, fresh, well-designed, and yummy.

Audrey Tautou is Pretty but Spiky

Imaginably the most heated film of this year is the adaptation of Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code. Two time Oscar-winner Tom Hanks enacts Harvard symbologist who's out to discern "the biggest cover up in human history." The excitement that surrounded the flick died down as the movie got a lukewarm reactions from critics when it premiered in the recent Cannes Film Festival. In my humble opinion, Ron Howard don't do crappy flicks, but he doesn't do great flicks either. As for writer Akiva Goldsman, I am no longer pinning my anticipation on his screenplays ever since he composed Batman and Robin.

But personally I think the biggest object of Howard's and Goldsman's crappy adaptation of the outstanding best-seller is French actress Audrey Tautou, who I first saw few years ago in the French film Amelie. She was very cute in that character, plus the flick was amusing. The Da Vinci Code was apparently Tautou's biggest break into Hollywood, but sadly her talent and attractiveness was reduced to a purely talking penny. Playing French Cryptographer Agent Sophie Nevue, all that Tautou did for the entire two-or-more hours of the flick was throw questions that Hanks answered with a very long chronicle, slash a sloppy-edited flashback sequence. I can forgive the cacophonic Parisian accent since she's playing a French character, and I can't think of any other actress in the part, but the loose characterization of Sophie was just frustrating. If Howard and Goldsman will in any way get their hands on the Angels & Demons project, I'll be the first one to hit the streets out of disapproval, but not just in the same post as with the Vatican bishops.

Best Tennis Player is a Known Lesbian

French woman tennis best Amelie Mauresmo is a known lesbian! God! I didn't know that Amelie has already confessed her sexual inclination. At first, I assumed she just seems to be like a man, but I didn't know that she's a lesbian. It was undeniably a revelation that she confessed many years ago and yet I didn't know. How come stuff like this ensues even if I have been following tennis for many years already?

Actually, everytime I watch Mauresmo, I query whether she is a bona fide woman. Just early this month, my contacts joked around that Maria Sharapova would never prevail in the 2006 Wimbledon because she would be playing against Mauresmo. I thought they're saying that because Mauresmo is the current best woman in tennis. It turned out that Sharapova would never prevail because Mauresmo is playing rigorously as a man. Likewise, they added that Mauresmo should stop playing against the girls and better play against Roger Federer and the rest of the guys. Yet, I told him that Mauresmo is still a woman and the fact that she's a lesbian did not change my veneration for her. Yet, she is the women's paramount tennis player for me.
