The Cool Excess of Jean Paul Gaultier
If there's a French designer to be shared with 'most extravagant,' Jean-Paul Gaultier is a real shoo-in. For the intense fashionista, the would-be label is not at all shocking since the individual already collaborated with Madonna and Marilyn Manson, and we all know that any designer associated with these 'extreme' music icons must be really talented and 'exaggerated' with his or her designs.
Anyway, it is not only in the Hollywood coverage that Jean-Paul Gaultier is establishing waves. Since his specialization is in pop culture designs, many people may have already spotted some of his concoctions on the streets of chic cities in the US, like New York or LA, courtesy of a well-known celebrity or just a stylish, affluent individual. Some may even have seen his designs on unconventional features, movies, or ads, where the boy is wearing skirts, the look is futuristic, or the fully tattooed individual is donned in full costume.
Interestingly enough, apart from his line of special designs, Jean-Paul Gaultier is also well-known for his array of perfumes. As a matter of fact, he has versions for both boys and gals, with Le Male as the top-earning item in the male category.
