Notre Dame Cathedral is a Fantastic Building
Even before I set off to the airport for my scheduled flight to France, I have been repeating to myself that there was no way that I would miss the eminent Notre-Dame Cathedral. I couldn't surely forgive myself if that sadly happened. Lucky enough, amidst our tight and hectic business meetings, a French fellow brought me to the place that was the setting of one of Victor Hugo's famed work of fiction (The Hunchback of Notre-Dame).
Beautifully placed in front of the Seine River, the total spectacle of the cathedral makes up for a lovely postcard. Imagine a Gothic architecture, a lush garden of trees that surrounds, and the classic cloudless skies of Paris; who would not be enchanted by such an aesthetic elegance? Good thing, I brought with me my dependable camera to capture a lifetime relic. While taking pictures, I saw that from whatever direction, Notre-Dame Cathedral did not fail to pose a pleasurable landscape.
Inside the cathedral, every sightseer is privileged to ascend to the towers to have a full sight of the gargoyles and an assortment of artistic objects in a small museum. The rose windows currently installed are also worth mentioning and still resemble the original stained-glass windows that were the remnants of the old building.
Every year and everyday, the cathedral is crowded with sightseers who want to take a preview of the world-renowned heavenly structure. It has surpassed a number of fires, defilement, bombs, and embezzlement, but stands wonderfully still --counting more years to see the unfolding of the French history as it has always done for the last eight centuries.
