Indulge in A Good Time At The Paris Marketplace

First-time visitors to Paris are eternally expected to head off to famous tourist destinations such as the Champs-Elysees, the Eiffel Tower, Musee d’ Orsay, and the Musee du Louvre. The many tourist packages often market these areas as ideal places to go to when wanting to find out more about the habits and lifestyle of the French people.

However, many fail to discover that in order to learn more about a country’s habits, they must head off to the places where the locals frequent. Museums and local grounds are fine places, but the local shops and marketplaces are more recommended for a foreigner curious to see the real face of France. Depending on the day of the week, one can expect to see an assortment of characters from all walks of life traveling along the streets and interacting with shopkeepers -- locals and sojourner alike.

Sunday mornings are the perfect hours when going around the corner stores of Paris, as this is the time when almost everyone does their shopping and relaxation. Try the Marche Mouffetard; walk along its watering holes and tearooms and join the locals as they spend the day with the whole community. Try going to the other corner stores by asking directions from local folks, and your tour to France will never be the same!

Mr. And Mrs. Toast Will Surely Serve You A Wonderful Event In Paris

I must state that growing up as a Catholic took me to regions I've never imagined. This is because I get to join visits to countless places in different times of the year. For one, earlier this year, I was blessed to be able to join a group certain for Lourdes, France for the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. But surprisingly, that feature (occurred| to be only a part of the whole French experience.

When we arrived in Paris, our first sojourn, the first conclusion that came into my mind was to eat. I scantily ate between the three-hour or so flight that I was very hungry upon landing. But the predicament didn't stop there -- I was nervous of eating at the airport restaurants. In short, I became agitated with how am I gonna appease my droning tummy.

Fortunately, I was salvaged by my groupmates when they decided to go and eat in a cafe downtown -- somewhat far away from the perimeters of the airport. There, I got a bewilderment of all surprises -- I found toasts– French toasts with a twist - that is there was a male and female questioning though, remains to me until this time: Why the typecasting? I tried asking individuals in the area but to no avail -- oh well, I guess that's the catch why the French toast is so popular.

A Mind-blowing Fashion Affair In The Amazing City Of Paris

Hailed as the world's fashion capital, the city of Paris in France is a mecca of luminous fashion shows and affairs. Because of this, and as a dedicated fashionista, with a mission to travel around the world to see the current trends in fashion, my first stop was in Paris to see the dazzling show of Armani Prive. His ensemble for 2007 focused on couture styles mixed with the essence of Asian trends. The astounding models were also notable Hollywood celebrities, with Cate Blanchett, Katie Holmes, and Renee Zelwegger, to name a few. At first I was overwhelmed with the gorgeous creations of Prive, with beautiful celebrities posing as statuesqe models. But then I realized that the high-powered celebrities were only a pretty embellishment to Armani's already astounding collection. I couldn't keep my camera shutters closed, as this was a once-in-a-lifetime fashion opportunity that has caught the attention of fashion critics and notable celebrities. My favorite item of the night was the gorgeous empire-cut dress, with deep ruffles, and marvelous, body-hugging cuts. Another divine outfit that caught my attention was a stunning Indian inspired dress, complete with a ruffled short skirt, and an accurately detailed tube top. The entire fashion show was undeniably a feast for the eyes, putting Armani into my list of top 10 fantastic European designers.
