Spend A Wonderful Time In A French Merrymaking

For those who are abreast with pop culture, literature regarding witches and wizards are very typical and popular nowadays. I am knowledgeable of just how much renowned the Harry Potter series' is with the children and adults alike. During revelries, I can barely count the number of participants who would dress up as a wizard or any magical creature. Many people find witch costumes a bit silly and scary, but I do know that most of my friends find sorceress outfits cool and eye-catching.

Therefore I was immensely glad to hear that France holds an annual merrymaking called the Sorcerers' Fair in Bué-en-Sancerre. This town is much renowned for its tales of magic and sorcery, with legends about former residents who were connoisseurs in magic. To praise their folklore and colorful history, Bué-en-Sancerre holds a fair for those who want to join in the fun.

Of course, many may just dismiss it as the result of an obsession with the paranormal and mystic, but I digress; this is a fair that should be respected. More than 1500 from other parts of France attend this fair, and I want to be one of them. It may sound a bit bizarre, but I am hoping to meet a familiar wizard who goes by the label "The-Boy-Who-Lived."

Mouthwatering Berries Gratin as Famed French Dessert

Have you ever heard of the stale proverb that says, sweetness can kill? I think so, too, especially if you suffer from diabetes or is menaced to earn extra weight -- all because of your sweet tooth. I tried as hard as I can to thwart the sweet temptation, but I always fall deep into my guilty pleasures for delectable desserts. For me, the main course will never be complete without the after meal delight that drains the heavy feeling from a fulfilling recipe. Lucky for me, I finally saw a way not to resist the temptation but at least, to lay my hands off the over-coated tasty desserts.

At a diner near the Eiffel Tower, I ordered the berries gratin from the menu and was satisfied to see that fruits and not pure sugar are in this French dessert. I reveled in the fruity fillings of fresh raspberries and cherries that acquainted me with a soft sensation to my mouth. I love the colorful assortment but much more, the delightful mix of flavors because of the sour cream and the vanilla syrup. Opposites do attract when what you have is a sweet and sour perfection from this scrumptious French recipe. Of course, I can't have berries gratin all the time, so I try to get easy on the carbs and regularly have fresh slices of fruits as nourishing alternatives.

French Fashion Week Showed Across the Sea

Would it come as a disillusion to you if I said a handful of high-end street labels in Paris are actually perishing in profits? It would certainly dismay me, no question about it! France, Paris eminently, has always been a leader in the fashion scene ever since Napoleon's era. Together with London, Milan, and New York, it is a powerful member of the Big Four, a group of the supreme fashion houses in the world.

To help solve the problem, French fashion houses are affiliating with young designers and international Fashion Week hosts to advocate their plummeting industry. As of now, no one is sure how this transpired, but investors are forward-looking that French fashion will get back on its feet in no time. The young designers they have affiliated with are administering the classic styles of French fashion pioneers such as Yves Saint Laurent and many others. In the local scene, young designers are managing fashion shows in an updated aura to be enchanting to the fashion elite. In the international scene however, French-based fashion shows are being unveiled in various countries in affiliated with the local French embassy. I hope everything works out just excellently with what they all have assembled. It sure is a catastrophe to see the leader in fashion sink, but I doubt it will ever do so.

A Wonderful Hotel In The Superb City Of Romance

As a first time vacationer to the beautiful region of France, one of the things that I was concerned of was finding a comfortable apartment nearby. My itinerary included the well-recognized avenue des Champs-Élysées, a wide area in Paris that has luxury shops, cafes, and cinemas that cater to the rich and the well-recognized. A apartment that caught my eye was the Hotel Pavillon Monceau, which was conveniently constructed just several minutes away from Champs-Élysées.

Upon entering, I was amazed and elated at the remarkable yet charming lobby that showcases traditional French style. Instead of being too imposing and daunting, the city basked in a red glow of coziness and warmth that was something I did not expect. Even the pads were tastefully made to include amenities and fixtures that just made me want to shout in delight! The genial receptionist told me that the buffet was available in the lounge but I can exercise me choice to take a continental food upstairs in my room. I planned to take my breakfast upstairs during my first morning there as it seemed like a good idea for me.

At first, I had reservations that the said apartment was too high-priced for me to stay in. However, I found to my astonishment, that the price was sound enough, considering the quality of the service and ambiance. Overall, the Hotel Pavillon Monceau is a good place to stay when on your journey in France.
