The Puzzle Behind French Eating Style

For a country with citizens who constantly absorb rich dishes like steaks and pastries every single banquet, it is quite surprising that France never showed up on the high cholesterol, fatty list that America of burgers and fries consistently place a rank in. Many kibitzers tirelessly attempt to unmask the secrets of a French diet but in the end, they usually find out that it is actually the country's devotion for food which helps its people prevent gaining excessive weight and acquiring unwanted calories.

The French citizens maintain a very good notion towards eating ever since, never considering it a guilty pleasure nor a mere chore. They are also not too preoccupied about counting the calories they gain or how much exercise they needed to burn what they have eaten. It seems then that staying slim the French way is all about enjoying fares, ignoring the calories, living without activity exhaustion, and making the right picks. Being the fashion capital of the world is also a means that is most likely doing wonders to the French people because their smugness keep them from going beyond the weight borders by staying on the slim side to be fit enough to wear everything they see on catwalks and boutiques.

A Very Short Expedition in an Attractive Island

When I had a whole month for a France vacation, I hurriedly intended to spend it in island hopping. Spending at least three days in each island, I alleged I could maximize my whole stay unraveling the practice, tourist spots, and delicacies. My latest stop was Corsica Island, a area of as much as twenty mountains and several lakes.

Being a mountainous terrain, walking, hiking, and mountain biking are the most eminent pastimes other than swimming. So, I wasted no moment and allotted a whole day in plainly going up and down a mountain. With this, I was definite that I lost many calories and pounds; after all, hiking is approved by medical professionals.

Corsica locals are lovers of cultural values, upholding their practice and festivities intact. Imagine a present French playing and listening to the great music of traditional instruments and chants. Also, part of the Corsican values is keeping the natural elegance of the whole island, so nature reserves and national parks are established and inevitably startle many tourists from around the globe. The Corsican traditional delicacies as well seduce many guests, from roasted boar and original red wine to local cheese.

Surely, Corsica Island is an authentic spree. I was just particularly blue when I left because I realized a three-day stay was not sufficing to discover the island better.

Open The New Day With A Delectable French Breakfast

I scan out the window, I see a beautiful sunny morning with fluffy clouds and clear blue skies, and remember my adventure in the heart of Paris. To let you have the same gastronomical suffering I had, I will give you concise view of it.

I had the Pain au chocolat, scorched bread with goat cheese and apricot spread, cafe au lait, and chocolat chaud. The first helping was the Pain au chocolat which is primarily a chocolate wrapped in a pastry. It is moderately light to prepare as you will only use a pre-packed frozen puff pastry and put chocolate in it before baking. As with the toast, you know the chores, is toast a bread and generously spread apricot spread and goat cheese on it but please use a walnut bread for a healthier feel. Cafe au lait is a latte with stout drip brewed French pressed coffee with milk, which is frequently substituted for an Espresso. And lastly, chocolat chaud which is practically a hot chocolate to close the entire meal.

If you have noted, I did not recommend les croissants because it came from Austria, and thus, it is not an real French food. Nonetheless, it has become a portion of the French way of living.

The Groovy Works of Pierre Cardin

Pierre Cardin is just one of the many French designers whom the fashion world has grown to love because of his wonderful geometric works, which are still in existence in the present-day. Although Cardin made his mark during the 1950s, his fantastic vogue sense and influence is the inspiration of many budding clothes-makers and models as well. His shapeless women's fashion of the 1950s, which was then translated to the unisex line, is one of the most popular foundations of the international vogue albeit its being non-practical most of the time.

At the height of Cardin's splashy career, he ensconced Japan as a fashion hub, something that no other designer of that time dare do. He has also kept his Paris outlets always filled with new collections, most of which were introduced lately to a picked audience of pooled groups of clients and fashion journalists. Today, Pierre Cardin is no longer just a vogue guru but a big-named industrialist with the chain of Maxim's Hotels and restaurants under his ownership. He has also remodeled Espace Cardin from a mere catwalk show site to a magnificent entertainment hub that features musicals and stage plays performed by the artistic talents of actors and musicians he would like all the world to see.

A Day On Leave In the Region of Wine

France is known for a lot of possessions: cheese, Eiffel Tower, fashion, castles, Marie Antoinette, baguette, exotic cuisine, Perrier, a whole lot more, and wine! Bordeaux, city capital of Aquitaine, France, is known as the city of drink. This region is one of the largest in France with over 660,000 people and also has the biggest school grounds. Because of the huge population, this region is highly tolerant of diverse liberated ideas, and yet, it has managed to maintain its relaxed aura. I believe that is one of the reasons why Bordeaux is traveled by many tourists all-year-round.

A fitting place to stay in while enjoying the drink is at the Hotel Kyriad Prestige Merignac Bordeaux . The hotel is just outside the Bordeaux city center, approximately 10 kilometers away, so you can experience the Aquitaine region in its true grace. But, the hotel is still comparably close to the airport and market center. Among the services of the hotel's rooms and suites are: air-conditioning, direct dial phone, mini bar, trouser press, cable/satellite television, private bathroom, hair dryer, and a protected deposit box. The three-star hotel also has meeting spot, shaping and sauna center, bars, restaurants, and swimming pools.
